JCP Assessment Fees 2009

Below is email correspondence between my self & JCP CDD.... I thought the fees went up plenty enough last year. This is one meeting I do not plan on missing.........

Dear Ms. xxxx,

Thank you for your interest. Most likely the CDD assessment will need to change this year due to the costs of operating our new recreation facility which will open at the end of the summer. Every effort is going toward making any increase as small as possible. Projected program revenue that the new recreation facility will be able to generate for our community will go a long way toward keeping our CDD fees lower than most (if not all) other area CDD’s. The exact amount of the fees, as well at the entire JCP CDD budget, for Fiscal Year 2009 will be discussed at a public hearing on August 12th, 2008 at Fruit Cove Middle School at 6pm. All homeowners are welcome to come and see what is on the horizon for our great community.

Just trying to have a nice dinner out

This past weekend my husband and I went to Bartram Walk looking to have a nice romantic dinner at Blackstone Grill.  It was nice outside weather wise so we were hoping to sit on the patio to enjoy our dinner.  Once we realized that there were several unattended children running around playing and screaming we  decided it would be better to get an inside table.  We were seated at our table and were very happy with the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant and were looking forward to our meal (the food was fantastic by the way), just then the group of running and screaming children passed outside.  This went on for the entire time we were there, we constantly had to stop our conversation and wait until they passed so that we could hear one another.  The hostess even mentioned that this was an every weekend event.  Am I out of place by thinking that this is rude behavior or are the parents of these children at fault by not controlling their children in a public place?
