June 23 through July 3, The Language Exploration Enrichment holds a camp at Durbin Creek Elementary School. Switzerland Point Middle School hosts drama camp July 7-10 for rising 8th and 9th grade students. July 14-17 and July 21-24 for rising 6th through 9th grade students. summer junior golf clinic
June 16 through Aug. 7, The Champions Club at Julington Creek offers an eight week junior golf program. One hour session on a selected day Monday through Thursday. Each week introduces the players to a new fundamental; putting, chipping and pitching, iron play, driver and fairway metal, course etiquette, bunker play and review. Tournament at the end of the sessions and an award ceremony. The goal is to introduce the fundamentals of the game of golf to young players, along with life goals of honesty, character, integrity and etiquette that are associated with the game. Cost is $150. surf camp
Surf into Summer Surf Camp will teach kids to master the waves. The camps will be held at Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine Beaches. The camps average a ratio of two or three kids to each surf instructor. Campers learn not only the basics of paddling and how to stand on the board, but also beach and water safety. Open for ages seven and up. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 8:45 until 11:45 a.m. Cost is $195 a week, includes instruction, board rental, snack and end of week celebration. summer musical theatre camp
June 16 through July 12, The Limelight Theatre will offer a musical theatre camp. This summer’s show is Once on the Island Jr., a musical re-telling of the Hans Christian Anderson classic, The Little Mermaid. June 16-17, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Bartram Trail High School will host a band camp for all band members at Creekside High School and Officers Rookie band. Camp is free. lacrosse camps
Register for boys and girls Black Bear lacrosse camps being held at Durbin Crossing Lacrosse Complex, St. Johns, June 16-19. Camps are for ages 6-18. estuary science camp
Friends of the Guana Tolomato Mantanzas (GTM) Research Reserve will host a five day Estuary Camp, July 28-Aug. 1 for students entering the fifth grade. The program is designed for students interested in learning about the plants, animals and environments around the estuary; includes classroom instruction, games, and experiments.
