I've got it!
We might only be 7 years into this century, but I might have just stumbled upon the greatest discovery of the next 1,000 years. The cure for heart disease. It all started with this article: http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/06/27/pl.nuts/ The story, dated from June, mentions that "Women who eat nuts more than four times a week are 40 per cent less likely to die of heart disease". Wow, that's kind of amazing, isn't it? The research suggests that you can almost half your risk of deadly heart disease just by eating nuts 4x a week. Then I started thinking: Weren't there similar findings for chocolate, wine, fish, aspirin, a low carb diet and so on and so forth? So I hate to jump to conclusions, but this is it: I have found a cure for America's #1 killer, heart disease. Let's do the math. 1 baby aspirin a day, decreases risk by 22% 1 glass of red wine a day, decreases risk by 35% 1 meal of fish (preferrably something high in Omega-3, like Salmon) a week, decreases risk by 30% 1 servings of nuts (like cashews), 4x a week, decreases risk by 40% We could keep going, but we have already decreased our chances of heart disease by 125%. It's not intensive, let's just imagine a typical week of being heart-disease free. Every morning, take one baby aspirin. If you want to make it fun, you can wash it down with that glass of red wine. There- you just cut your risk by 57% and it's only 6:30 in the morning. Then on Wednesday night, try a new Salmon recipe. It's Thursday, 2:30 in the afternoon and you're hungry at work? A serving of nuts, which is only a handful- do that Monday through Thurs and your heart disease just decreased by 40%. So consider this: next time you're sitting at a fancy steakhouse and feel bad for cramming 16 ounces of bleedingly delicious meat into your arteries, it's ok; because you have nothing to fear from heart disease.

Sometimes you can do all you want to live a longer, healthier life, but the truth is it can come down to basics......Hereditary and genes.....So, do what you think is right but like the saying goes, history repeats itself!! |

I remember when I read that if you drink red wine you'll live longer.
I'm now planning to live forever.
